Welcome to my 30-day breathing challenge! Mouth breathing is bad news from a health perspective! I’ve explained the reasons why in articles on this site (like this one), and in the videos on my YouTube channel. An interesting part of my myofunctional therapy practice is that I often meet with new patients who don’t think they’re mouth breathing, or they don’t believe that their children are.

However, I can clearly see that their mouth is open right in front of me. It can be difficult to raise this issue but the awareness of an open mouth resting posture is the first step in addressing the condition, which is why I created this 30-day myofunctional therapy breathing challenge!

It’s a great way to find out if you or your children are actually mouth breathing, and it’ll help build the awareness of the habit if you do in fact breathe through your mouth. The challenge is easy, and fun, but very effective. Even younger children will be able to take part.
