Myofunctional therapy is more than a business or a career for me. After successfully working through my own myofunctional issues, and seeing the amazing health benefits my patients get, it’s safe to say that it’s become a passion of mine.

Along with many other advocates for the field, I’ve been trying to increase the awareness of myofunctional therapy since my early days as a myofunctional therapist. For example, I’ve spoken to hygienists and dentists at Study Clubs and at conferences. I’ve also written articles and appeared on podcasts and radio shows. I’m very happy to say that there’s been a real surge of interest in the last year or so from both medical professionals and the public.

From what I can tell, the importance of the airway, tongue posture and nasal breathing is becoming better known every day, and treating tongue-ties is now a mainstream part of medicine. We’re also slowly starting to see increased awareness of the role epigenetics plays in tongue-ties, and in the state of our health in general.
